Because of this we’ve made a pledge to focus on few key areas of food preparations, food safety & local sourcing:
a) We make every order as per customer taste as we do not buffet or recycle food
b) Reduced sodium, heavy creams, oil & never do sour cream, monosodium glutamates thus keeping our total calorie footprint well controlled across our menu and will continue to do so always.
c) 99% of our menu items are Gluten Free with no wheat flour or sugar additives added to the sauces made across VARQ locations
d) We exercise our extensive knowledge about Indian Spices, by picking and choosing natural whole spices & fine grind them according to their scale of heat and coolness. We do not make spicy food. We all have different taste and nutrition needs, but we all want the same thing – lots of choice and variety, therefore we take pride in providing you lot of variety, so that you can indulge and decide as per your mood.
What is the serving of each entrée?
All entrées are good for two people. We also have Meal Deals for one person
What are the spice levels of food?
We do not make spicy food unless specifically instructed by the customer.
How can one order VEGAN entrees from the menu?
Just choose from the vegetarian section and ASK us to make it VEGAN. We have also marked few VEGAN dishes on our menu.
Do you use MSG (monosodium glutamate), Citric acid and processed Sour Cream?
No, we never use them neither use any other chemical additives for any kind of preservation, refrigeration purposes to increase the shelf life of meat or vegetables for display or cooking purposes.
Does your Naan bread contain Egg?
No egg is used for preparation of NAAN dough. Our NAAN Bread is made fresh and is Egg Free.
Does your food contain alcohol?
We do not use any kind of cooking wine or alcohol for regular day-to-day orders. We do use cooking wine for food cooked as per client request during special occasions, events & parties.
What kind of oil do you use for cooking?
We only use omega-3 rich Canola Oil. Low on Saturated Fats and high in Unsaturated Fats.
Do you have procedures in place to minimize cross-contact in the kitchen?
Yes, when you tell us about your allergies, we do alert our kitchen staff about your order requirement and allergies for safer food handling.
Even with processes and procedures in place, we are mindful that we are not an allergen free facility. As such, we cannot guarantee that any item is free of any allergen. While we regret that this may disappoint some guests, we feel strongly about being transparent about what we can and cannot guarantee.
